Larysa Jaye

Larysa was a Nashville-based Country Soul artist who created a broad range of influences in her performances. Her eclectic style reached every person in the room regardless of background or music preference.

It's not only her "girl next door" feel that draws her audience in, but her captivating stage presence commands an entire room's undivided attention.

As a little girl growing up in Kansas City, KS, Larysa's influences ranges from various faith-based artists such as Fred Hammond, Helen Baylor, Carman, and Out of Eden. While growing older and exploring different music her attention shifted to legendary R&B performers and vocal powerhouses such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, & Mary J Blige.  Her musical curiosity didn't stop there.  After her family relocated to Nashville, its rich community of singer/songwriters became another focus in her journey to learning who she is an artist.

She became a sought-out entertainer all around Nashville where she performed regularly. Larysa played the Nashville Soul Music Festival, the General Jackson Stage, and the Centennial Festival events. The National Museum of African American Music had also included Larysa as part of their Emerging Artists lineup, representing them at various events throughout Nashville, including the 31st Anniversary MLK Convocation held at Tennessee State University.  Whatever the occasion called for, whether a private birthday party, country club, winery, or at "the new hottest spot in town", Larysa's ability to mold her craft always made her the "perfect fit".

Recording, writing, singing BGV’s, and creating music with producer Billy Smiley brought about 10 new songs that founds its way on the airwaves. She tragically lost her life in a car accident in December of 2024. We will miss her greatly, but thankfully her music and voice remain with us.
